Sometimes life has other plans.

If you’ve noticed that things have been a little quiet around Rosalie’s Daughter Designs lately—or that new patterns haven’t been appearing quite as steadily as they usually do—there’s a reason.

This was supposed to be a year of new designs, a steady release schedule, all of the glow-ups, and finally getting my Patreon up and running. I had plans. Lots of them.

Instead, most of my time and energy over the last few months has gone toward helping to clean out my parents’ home. They are still with us, and doing well, but a lifetime of belongings takes a very long time to sort through, and it has turned into a much bigger undertaking than I ever imagined.

Designing hasn’t stopped, though. I’ve been working on new things when I can, including one design that is finishing up testing now and another that is about to start. And, honestly, I’ve also given myself permission to use some of my knitting and crochet time to make a few things just for me—something I don’t actually do very often.

So Rosalie’s Daughter hasn’t gone anywhere. I’m still here. Still designing. Still playing with yarn and stitches and color. Just moving at a different pace for a little while.

And there are signs that I’m finding my way back. With some much-needed help from a friend, my home studio recently got a serious cleaning and reorganization. It’s amazing how much easier it is to pop in, pick something up, work on an idea for a little while, and come back to it later when the space is actually ready for me to do that. Eventually, there will be a more steady influx of new patterns. Patreon is still something I want to make happen. And I have plenty of ideas waiting their turn.

But while you wait… how about a sale?

From now through August 16, all Rosalie’s Daughter Designs patterns are 40% off on both Ravelry and Etsy—just a little thank-you for sticking around while I make room for the life that’s actually happening rather than the year I had planned. [No code needed on Ravelry—Use WHILEYOUWAIT on Etsy]

Thank you for sticking around while I find my way back. And, of course, having an organized studio doesn't necessarily mean I have full control of the inventory or the process. ❤️
